Tyrell Holland is a self-taught street photographer from Far Rockaway, NY who calls Harlem home. After obtaining his B.A. in Television Production from Brooklyn College, his initial interest in video shifted to photography. Documenting the 2016 African American Day Parade inspired Holland to cultivate a photographic practice centered on Harlem, its people, and its places. Walking around the neighborhood with his Canon 5D camera in hand, Holland has grown committed to telling Harlem’s stories the only way he knows how: through photographs.
